"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely, or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature, and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be..." - Anne Frank

Welcome to Follow Me Outdoors website. Created in 1996; it's a site put up to help those with disabilities looking to make life in the great outside accessible again. By the grace of God and with the proper equipment, it will be.

Everybody has a story, click here to read mine.

This site is as close as I can get it to real hunting and fishing without getting dirty. The seasons always seem to be either on or days away, so we're talking dove, teal, deer, duck & goose hunting. And fishing is a year 'round opportunity. So come follow me to the mountains, through fields and into the woods, across bays to the deep blue waters of the open sea in search of wild times. This site is devoted to forging a new path to the mighty outside. Disabled recreation is an obscure but growing sport so come with me as I show you the way to fun in the field.

Christopher Reeve Foundation - 5/1/2011 - Recently, the CRF published an article about me on their site. Go here to read Rollin' on into Nature. This is a one of the "biggies" in the disabled community, and I'm honored to be mentioned on their site. Please check it out and leave a comment.

Safari Club Pathfinder - 8/1/2010 - I was chosen by Safari Club International for their Pathfinder Award for 2011. This is a very prestigious award for a disabled hunter, the highest honor given in our obscure field. I'm thankful to have had so much help given generously by so many so that I was able to be recognized in this way. Thank you all!

NEW Products Review - 6/24/2008 - There are 2 new products out this year that I think can be useful to disabled hunters. The first is a Camo Cap/Facemask combo by QuikCamo that is designed to be used with 1 hand that I discovered at The Shot Show in Las Vegas. The 2nd is a pop up blind by All About Game that features one whole side that lifts up for wheelchair access. AAG offers 2 models with this feature. Check out my reviews in my HuntingNet hunt journal or follow the links to each manufacturer's website.

African Safari Info - 6/15/2008 - It's official! I just booked my hunting safari to South Africa for June of 2009 with Lalapa Safaris. My dad is going as an observer and his buddy Bert is going to hunt and bringing his wife as an observer too. We sent our deposits in and now I'm waiting on the flights to become available so i can book them. It's going to be a 10-day hunt for 6 animals and will include a day or two photo safari in a nearby game reserve to see the Big 5. It's going to be epic.

OUTDOORS WITHOUT LIMITS ANNUAL TEAL HUNT kicked off near Garwood, Tx. - 9/28/07
Read about our latest group hunt and find out about new opportunities for disabled hunters in Texas. We had a terrific hunt this year that allowed 10 lucky hunters the opportunity to go on a classic duck hunt on the Garwood prairie. New this year were two Zero Gravity Rigs that were tested out for the first time by two of our hunters.

NEW Transport Chair- Completed 8/1/07
I've designed and produced a light weight chair that will be used for hunting over open range. It will be made of aluminum and patterned after the rickshaw style to make long hauls over terrain easy on the able bodied puller. I'll post pics as soon as I get it finished.
