Date: November 18, 2009 Place: Upstate NY Weapon: Compound Bow "I'm a T5 complete as the result of a bike/car accident. I was upstate NY for the opener of the spring turkey season. After hunting, I asked my dad to follow me to the shop since I need to get my bike inspected. On the way there, a suburban pulled out in front of me and I went head first into the rear driver's door. A long story short, I've been a para since 5/1/08." |

| Here's a photo of a 105-110" eight pointer I took down on a fine November day in 2009 during the NY archery season. It's the first animal I've take since my accident. I couldn't even draw a vertical bow last May (2009), but through some perseverance, I was back to my normal archery skills by September. I shot this buck in my 12 acre food plot (first year), twice; I hit him once at 62 yards and again at 53 yards. My previous longest shot was 55 yards (when I was an able-bodied person). My first shot was 3" too far back and the second shot took out his pump house. I think my brother and buddies were a little skeptical until they saw the arrows in the dirt at past those distances. Needless to say, I made believers out of them. | |||||
