Hunt Description: Outdoor Buddies and the Wild Turkey Federation put on this terrific hunt for mule deer in Colorado. We hunted alfalfa fields near sage brush draws that were ideal big buck habitat.

Story: (see below)

My guides Tim & Mike worked their butts off to get me a good buck. With 20 minutes left 'til dark, we spotted this big boy 600 yds off in the alfalfa hay field. We bailed out of the truck and Tim pulled me 400 yds zig-zag along the edge of the tall sage to within 310. That's as close as we were going to get. It was getting dark and we couldn't go any farther without being seen. Dad followed close behind with my chest strap and my shooting bipod and I knew I was only going to get one crack at him.

Dad held the bipod steady as Tim spotted and ranged the buck. And my one shot found it's mark. Awesome hunt guys!!!
