I called on capt Don because his ad said affordable offshore trips for $350 less than the average charter. He is a friendly and capable fishing captain and worked hard with me through a few cancelled dates.

We went out about 32 miles and found the fish right away. Big kings were the bulk of our hookups, but we did find a few small dolphin and some nice amberjacks.

There was plenty of room on the deck for wheelchair fishing and the Sea Play also has an air conditioned cabin one step up in case it gets too hot.

Parties of 1 to 6 are okay, and Don supplies everything from rods and reels to bait and tackle. You only need to bring food and adaptive equipment.

Best times to go are during the summer months from June to October. I think July and August are the best because the weather is usually more consistently calm.
