Oklahoma Hunts

OKLAHOMA - Annual event at Hugo Lake for trophy Whitetail Deer. This information is made available by the Corp of Engineers that sponsor the hunt. Please read over carefully before making a decision to apply. (SEE PICS BELOW!)

If you want the application book contact Jeromy Caldwell at the following address: Jeromy.Caldwell@swt02.swt.usace.army.mil First Step: A Nonresident Hunter who lives outside Oklahoma, is required to purchase a nonresidents license that costs $35.00 (5 day permit) JUST TO APPLY FOR THE HUNT. A nonambulatory hunter can get an instant license by calling the wildlife department's 1-800-223-3333. If you are drawn an additional $201 nonresident deer license is required for all disabled hunters who are not Oklahoma residents. Second Step: The sportsman must also apply by application for a Motor Vehicle permit or the Non-Ambulatory permit. The application includes a doctor's statement concerning the sportsman's disability. The doctor must be certified in the State of Oklahoma or a border state. The applications are available from my area in Oklahoma City. Thus, they can e-mail me with their postal mailing address and a short description of their disability (to determine which application is needed) or they may call Julie Johnson at (405) 521-4629 or email her at jjohnson@odwc.state.ok.us Definition of Nonambulatory: Minimum age requirements for Controlled Hunts is 14 unless otherwise specified. Up to four hunters may apply together. NonAmbulatory is defined as those persons who are unable to walk due to : a) a single or double leg amputation, b) paralysis of lower extremity (ies), and/or c) disease or injury and must use a wheel chair as their primary source of mobility. BOTH THE 5 DAY PERMIT & THE AMBULATORY PERMIT MUST BE OBTAINED BEFORE YOU CAN APPLY FOR THE HUNT.
