Florida Hunts

FLORIDA - We have a great place near Cross City, FL that wants to do a boar hunt for us. It is a 1,000 acre fenced preserve with mainly wild boar hogs only on the property (few sows or pigs). They have some huge hogs and do a real fine hunt. We will hunt the hogs mainly with dogs. The outfitter can work with you to get you mobile on a swamp or truck to get to the dogs.

The hunt will be guaranteed for a trophy boar and will include one night's stay. The lodge is designed handicapped accessible. Our cost will be $400 for the hunt, no license is necessary. If you think you may be interested in this hunt, please let me know as soon as possible. The tentative date is sometime between May 12 and May 16th. If we get this hunt together, it will be covered in Boar Hunter Magazine.

FLORIDA - BADF Disabled Services is currently planning its first deep-sea fishing trip for people with disabilities. The event will take place on September 15th, 2001 and will launch out of Panama City Beach, Florida. Our plans are to charter a complete party boat for a 10-hour trip. We will be bottom fishing for red snapper, grouper and other fish. This boat is adapted to accommodate individuals in wheelchairs; we will accept 50 fishermen for the trip. If some people need to bring an attendant, that will be fine. At this time the cost is $52.00 per person, if we have 50 people. We are attempting to locate a sponsor to cover the $2,600.00 cost of the boat. With sponsorship, there would be no cost involved for the disabled participants. If you are seriously interested in this trip, please let me know as soon as possible. Naturally, most fishermen will need lodging if traveling to Florida for this trip. Since this date is not in the vacation season, we feel that we can locate rooms at very reasonable rates in or near Panama City Beach. Lodging is not provided and will be a responsibility of the participant.
