The Wright Elevated Stand |
|||||||
The new T&M stand for disabled hunters. The Wright Stand can be powered two ways for raising and lowering. The manual model has a hand winch with a safety brake. It takes adequate strength to crank yourself up the maximum height of 14 feet, but this can be done in just a couple of minutes. Lowering is much easier. If the winch crank is stopped going either way, the safety brake holds the user securely in place. This feature can also be useful if the hunter wants to stop at a height of less than 14 feet. The second model is electric, operating off of a 12-volt, deep-cycle battery. The winch is located on the bottom of the stand, with a switch on the seat for raising and lowering. Both models come with an optional shooting rail and camouflage canopy with adjustable height settings for resting a rifle or crossbow. Both models have steel skids, enabling them to be pulled either by an ATV or by hand. |

Setting up is even easier as a tree ladder. Just lean the unit against a tree, have a helper climb the ladder and bind the top to the tree, drive the two ladder stakes in the ground, and the mission is completed! Once set up, no further assistance is required for usage. Although the Wright Manual Stand is made of heavy-gauge steel, it weighs in at just over 100 pounds. The electric model tips the scales at about 150 pounds without the battery. T&M Enterprises understands that disabled hunters have different problems and needs; they will work with individuals on any customizations that need to be made. Special orders for 16-foot stands are possible, too. The cost of the standard Wright Manual Stand with tripod legs, shooting rail and shooting rail cover is around $500. The Wright Electric Stand with all accessories costs around $1,000. |
